Belt Buckle Boutique Review & Giveaway

I was recently contacted by Belt Buckle Boutique to review a belt and buckle.  I received the Turquoise Stone Flower Buckle and the Studded Belt-Brown Leather.  The belt and buckle were of great quality and I knew immediately how I was going to style this item.  I opted to pair the turquoise buckle and studded belt with my white dress.  I thought the buckle gave a western vibe.

Ruffle Pink Top and Pink Print Skirt

Before I started my new job, I did some shopping to pick a few more items that were work appropriate and my new size.  While shopping at Macy's I fell in love with this Ruffle Print Top and Pink Print Skirt each item was under $20 so I knew I had to purchase them.

Black Blouse and Gray Pencil Skirts

I have been drawn to pencil skirts lately.  The skirts give a look a little more of a polished edge and since my job calls for a polished look I added this gray pencil skirt to my wardrobe.  I paired this gray skirt with a black button up blouse but added my great baublebar necklace to give it my own style taste.

White Blouse and Pinstripe Skirt

Last week, I wore a white blouse with a pinstripe skirt to work.  The skirt goes with a blazer and is one of my favorite skirt suits.  I love the shape of this skirt.  This look was very professional but I added a black necklace to give it a little more of my style.

Ruffles and Pencil Skirt

I have really been shopping my closet even though certain items are becoming too large.  This look is everything from my closet that I have had for over a year.  I love the details of this ruffle top and knew it would look great with a black pencil skirt.  I added turquoise earrings to give an extra pop of color.

Faux Wrap Top and Black Pencil Skirt

This look I wore on Wednesday to my new job.  As I mentioned, I will be working in more business causal looks.  This faux wrap top is from Karen Kane and I picked it up at 365 Hangers for a discounted rate via the giveaway through Bravoe Runway and Fashion Fractions.  I loved this top because it is really flattering.  I decided to pair this faux wrap top with a belted pencil skirt.

Print Skirt and Bow Tie Blouse

Last Thursday was J's birthday and we celebrated dinner out on Saturday.  We went to La Fiorentina and boy was it delicious!  I had planned on wearing my Cobalt Calvin Klein dress but after a morning of walking 9.1 miles and the shop around I opted for a print skirt and my sheer bow tie blouse.  I had picked up the skirt at the outlets and loved the print because I knew it would be really versatile.

Mystery Maxi

The last time I wore The Mystery Dress designed by Mondo Guerra I asked suggestions on how to style it.  I had some great recommendations and plan on using them in the future.  But then I remembered different bloggers wearing dresses as tops and decided I should try that with The Mystery Dress.  Since the dress is short, I decided to add a long black maxi dress and coral sandals.

If you saw Friday's post, you know that I start work today.  I plan on showing off a lot more business casual looks but I will also still do casual looks.  With my new job, I will continue blogging but will reduce the amount to five days a week and may eventually eliminate Giveaway Wednesday.  Hope you understand!  It may also take longer to respond to comments and visit everyone's blog but I will do my best to keep up.

Travel Look

Last Thursday, J and I left Dallas to head to his parent's lake house for Memorial Day Weekend.  When I travel, I like to be comfortable but still put together.  Generally I wear jeans because I hate freezing while being in the car.  This time around I decided to do something different because I knew my legs would be tired after walking 6 miles Thursday morning.  So I went with a maxi skirt because it sort of feels like pajamas.  I am comfortable but still put together.

Red Skirt and Blue Blouse

When watching tv, I continued to see commercials for Fairly Legal.   Although I do not watch the show, I loved one look (I can’t find the picture online) where the star wore a red skirt and blue blouse.  I decided to try my take on the look.

Neon and Lace

After seeing this look and this look on pinterest, I wanted to recreate my own look while following my tips for wearing neon.

I do not own a neon skirt.  While I find the neon skirt to be fun, I just don’t find it practical for my wardrobe.  So I went with the next best thing, a neon top.  I wanted to pair my neon with a neutral color.  I went with my black lace skirt.  I kept the accessories simple since I am wearing a neon green shirt.

Floral Pleated Skirt and Red Top

I love a great pleated skirt and this one is no exception.  I have owned this skirt since my Junior year of college and still love it.  The best part about this skirt if fits me regardless of my size.  If I am heavier it still fits and if I am skinny it still sits on my hips.  This is the perfect skirt.  For the black and white floral skirt, I typically pair it with a black top and red accessories.  This time around, I wanted to wear a red v-neck top.

Print Skirt

The last time I wore this skirt the weather was cooler and I paired it with a long sleeve shirt.  This time around the weather is much warmer so I paired the skirt with a tank and sandals.  I think the skirt would also look great with a pair of wedges (if I had a pair).

Lace Skirt and Bow Tie Blouse

The last time I wore this lace skirt on the blog, I paired it with a simple top.  I liked the look but this time around I wanted to wear something a little more dressy.  So I decided to go with my Old Navy sheer bow tie blouse.  I feel that this look goes with classic pieces but adds a personal twist.  The look is also office appropriate although I might add a blazer so that I am not too sheer.

Pleats and Polka Dots

The last time I wore this skirt, Mandy from In The Fashion Lane suggested I wear the skirt with a polka dot blouse.  Although I don’t own a polka dot blouse, I knew I wanted to try the pleated skirt with a polka dot top.  That’s when I remembered my polka dot cardigan.  So I put the sweater on backwards and we have a look.

Gray Skirt and Black Top

This look is another one from the extra closet.  I was so excited that this skirt fits again. I purchased this skirt in Fall 2008 for my first big girl job.  I loved the cut of the skirt because it was different from your typical pencil skirt.
