When I lived in Florida I wore sandals year round. Although Dallas is colder in the winter, I still love
a great pair of sandals. The
Giuseppe Zanotti black strap sandals are gorgeous but definitely out of my
budget at $695. The Tassel Strap
sandals are not exactly like the expensive pair but I love the gold detail of
the tassel and for $13 much more budget friendly.

Savings Saturday – Nicholas Kirkwood Floral Printed Platform Pumps
As I have mentioned before floral is a huge trend for spring. I am still not sure I can wear floral
pants, but a pair of floral print shoes would definitely do the trend in a small way.
Will you wear floral this spring?

Savings Saturday – Dorian Oxford Kitten Heel Sandals
Right now I love Ann Taylor’s shoes for spring. I first saw the Cheri Peeptoe Platform Pumps on Lia from Smart N Snazzy.
When I started looking at the shoe collection, I found the Dorian Oxford Kitten Heel Sandals. I thought
they would be perfect for spring! The
Dorian Oxford Kitten Heels are $178 and although I love them I wanted to find a
pair for less. That is when I
found Aldo Bracker Heels for $90 or Shiny Strappy Sandal from Zara for
$50. Although not exactly alike, I
love the heels for less. These shoes
are perfect to add a little color to your look.

Savings Saturday - Ruthie Davis Pumps
Color blocking is still a huge trend for spring. Although it is still winter in most parts of the country, I can't get color blocking out of my mind. Since I love the trend, I have decided I need a pair of color block pumps. When I discovered the Ruthie Davis Popsicle Patent Peep Toe pumps, I fell in love. But we know I can't spend $989 on shoes. Then I found these Black Velvet Retro Color Block Pumps for $37.00 from Lulus. Although these shoes are not the same they have the same colors and the black trim. Love them!

Trend Tuesday – Chunky Heel Pumps
I had planned an outfit
post for today, but woke up yesterday feeling a bit under the weather so I
didn’t want to scare you off looking like I felt. So I decided to do a Trend Tuesday post (haven’t had one of
those in a while). This Trend
Tuesday is about chunky heel pumps.
Chunky heel pumps are flattering on most bodies because a thicker heel
will make your legs look slender.
I selected some basic
chunky heel pumps but had to throw in a few fun pairs as well. These chunky heel pumps are perfect for
the winter and are under $50!

Savings Saturday – Christian Louboutin Rollerball Spikes Flat Nappa Shoes
Right now I love everything that deals with spiked
shoes. I am not sure I could pull
them off without injuring myself, but I think spiked flats might be easier to
wear than pumps. I love these
Christian Louboutin Rollerball Flats but I can’t spend $1,095 for flats that
might injury me. So I found these
Senso Esta flats for only $50.

Cheering!
When I purchased this skirt thrifting a few months ago, I
wasn’t sure I going to wear it, but I really liked it. The skirt was different from anything I
owned but I wanted to step out of my box.
But every time I put it on I think that I look like some sort of old
school cheerleader so I haven’t wore it.
Today, I decided to try it out and get everyone’s opinion on the skirt.

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!
Today, I am creating a look around shoes. When Amber from Real Girl Glam
challenged bloggers to build an outfit around a pair of shoes. I thought this would be simple. I love shoes and always have, but then
I looked at my closet full of heels, pumps, boots, flats, and sandals and
couldn’t decide what shoes to select.
I was going to show off a pair that hasn’t been on the blog, but I
decided to go with a pair that I absolutely love – my leopard print flats.
I received these flats as a present for Christmas and love
them so much. They are super cute,
but also comfortable!! Major plus!

Savings Saturday – Miu Miu Gold Glitter Peep Toe Pumps
As I mentioned in my Thursdays Favorite Things post this week, I love glitter pumps. They are perfect for all occasions and
add that extra pop of fun to an outfit.
The Miu Miu Gold Glitter Peep Toe Pumps are absolutely gorgeous but cost
$476! So I wanted to find a pair
of glitter peep toe pumps for less.
I found these gold glitter platform shoes from Debenhams.com for only
$47!
Would you wear these pumps for less?

Thursday are for My Favorite Things
This week’s edition of Thursdays Favorite Things is all
about shoes. I am currently
lusting after each of these.
1. I am on the
hunt for black riding boots. I
love my brown riding boots and I have black boots with heals so I would love a
pair of black flat boots. These
boots would be perfect for walking around and shopping!
2. I am a flats
girl. I love comfort and have
comfortable heals but nothing is better than a great pair of flats. These Burberry flats are absolutely
gorgeous.
3. I have made
a pair of glittered flats, but I still don’t have a pair of glitter pumps. How fun are these Miu Miu glitter
pumps?
4. Although I
am not sure where I’d wear them, I love the Sam Edelman studded pumps. These pumps would add the perfect edge
to any outfit. But I am sure I’d
cut my leg off with them!
What are your favorite shoes right now?

Savings Saturday – Gucci Zebra Print Calf-Hair Pumps
I am in love with zebra print right now. I have zebra print Sam Edelman flats
(thanks eBay!) but I have been hunting for zebra print pumps. That is when I discovered these
gorgeous Gucci Zebra Print Calf-Hair Pumps. But these pumps are $695! So I wanted to find zebra print pumps for less and I found
three great pairs.

Guest Post – Boots 3 Ways from Shoestring Fashion
Meet Lisa from Shoestring Fashion. Lisa’s blog shows how to make your clothes work on a small budget. Lisa has been extremely supportive of my blog and I consider her one of blogging friends. Today Lisa is sharing boots three ways.
I am so excited to be guest posting on Fashion By Alicia today! I love Alicia's blog and am pleased to meet her friends.
My blog focuses on creating looks on a shoestring budget with items you have in your closet and a few key pieces each season. These Coconuts riding boots from DSW were definitely a key purchase this season for me. Here are three ways to wear them.
1. Skinny jeans and boot socks
2. Bootcut jeans
3. Skirt and boot socks (or tights)
Thank you again Alicia for having me.

Savings Saturday – Alexander Wang Anais Leather Loafer Pumps
I love these Alexander Wang Anais Loafer Pumps. Loafer pumps are huge this fall and these pumps are fabulous. But I wanted to find pumps for less.
I found three pairs that are similar to the Alexander Wang Anais Loafer Pumps. The first pair is the Nine West Newhouse High Heeled Loafers and cost only $50.
The next pair is my favorite and only costs $50.
The last pair is another Nine West pair and is only $45.
Will you be wearing loafer pumps this fall?

Savings Saturday – Alexander McQueen Faithful Bootie
Today, I am headed to Fort Lauderdale to board my Princess Cruise with my mom and aunts. I am really excited to get some time away and relax. While I am away, I have scheduled posts so you will still get some Fashion By Alicia time (I even have a mystery giveaway planned). I won’t be responding to emails, comments, or tweets but will be thinking of you while I am lying on the beach.
Right now I am obsessed with peep toe booties. The bootie is perfect with or without tights. When I stumbled upon these Alexander McQueen Faithful Booties I wanted them but can’t spend $924.99 on shoes. So I knew that they would be the next shoes for Savings Saturday.
Although the shoes for less aren’t exactly the McQueen Faithful, they are a fraction of the price - $49.

DIY – Glitter Flats
I have been on the hunt for glitter shoes for a while now, but I just couldn’t justify spending money a lot of money on shoes that I might only wear a few times. Then I saw these DIY projects from Smart N Snazzy and Britt + Whit and knew I could just make Glitter Flats. So here is my DIY Glitter Flats:
Beige Flats from Target - $7.00
I then gathered my supplies:
- Sponge Brush
-Newspaper
-Fabric Glue
-Gold Glitter
I stuffed the shoes with newspaper so that I didn’t have glitter everywhere. I then applied the glue to the shoes with the sponge brush and then used a spoon to apply the glitter. In hindsight, I would have used a different glue like mod podge. But we learn as we go. Here is the finished product.
I can't wait to wear these shoes. I have the perfect look in mind.

Snakeskin is a huge trend for the fall. I like that snakeskin is a neutral and can be paired with jeans, pants, skirts, or dresses. The Stuart Weitzman Painted Snakeskin Pumps are gorgeous but cost $345. I found these Snakeskin Pumps from Topshop for only $100.
Will you be wearing snakeskin this fall?

Savings Saturday – Proenza Schouler Lace Up Ankle Boots
I love the Proenza Schouler Lace Up Ankle Boots. These boots scream fall and are perfect except for the price. These great boots cost $635! Ouch, my wallet can’t handle that. So I wanted to find a boot for less that had the same feel as the Proenza boots.
I discovered these Tan lace Up Chelsea Boots from Dorothy Perkins for only $49! I do miss the suede heal of the Proenza boots, but for the savings I’ll avoid the suede heal.
Would you wear the boots for less?

Savings Saturday – Brian Atwood Harrison Leopard Print Calf Hair Pumps
I love these Brian Atwood Leopard Pumps. The leopard print is gorgeous and would be perfect for fall. I would love to own these shoes, but they cost $1,375.
found these Franco Sarto Leopard Print pumps for $89. I actually like the shape of these pumps better plus they save me $1,286.
