Pop of Yellow

A few weekends ago, J and I went to cheer on the University of Missouri at an alumni watch party.  J attended the University of Missouri for law school and I wanted to sport their colors while still looking fashionable.  Since Missouri colors are black and gold, I wanted to sport a black top and a yellow scarf.

Savings Saturday – Alexander McQueen Leopard Skull Silk Scarf

Savings Saturday - Leopard Scarf

I can’t get enough of scarves right now and since I love leopard print I think I need a leopard print scarf.  I found this Alexander McQueen Leopard Skull Silk Scarf that is absolutely gorgeous but for $443 I can’t do it.  So I found this leopard print scarf from Debenhams from much less.

Belted Scarf

I have been seeing a lot of different bloggers belt a scarf, but didn’t think I could pull it off.  Then I saw Lisa from Shoestring Fashion create a great look with a belted scarf and she suggested that I should try it.  I decided to pull out a scarf and see if I could make it work.  I am really pleased with how the look turned out.

Faux Fur Stole

Right now, I love anything fur or faux fur.  I am so thankful that fur is back in style right now because I love everything about it.  I love my faux fur vest, but when I came across this faux fur stole at H&M I knew I had to have it.  I went with a basic look because I didn’t want to go over the top with the faux fur.

Roll Tide

Monday night, J and I met one of J’s friends that was in the big D for work to watch the National Championship.  I was cheering for Alabama from the beginning of the season.  I really love Nick Saban (maybe because he grew up in West Virginia?).  For our evening out, I wanted to wear the Clemson Tide colors but was worried that there would be LSU fans there so I stuck with a pretty neutral look.

I selected my new jeans on sale at JCPenny for $8 and gray sweater.  The look was pretty basic so I added my favorite scarf.

Savings Saturday – Alexander McQueen Signature Skull Print Scarf

Savings Saturday - McQueen Scarf

This week’s Savings Saturday is about scarves and skulls.  How fun is this Alexander McQueen Skull Print Scarf?  It would be perfect for the winter but at $520 I can’t afford it so I found this scarf for much less.  How great is this scar from Miss Selfridge for only $21?
