Summer Stripes

I love seersucker in the summer.  I think it is the perfect summer time look for errands or dinner.  I have had this seersucker skirt for ages, but still love it.  I normally wear it with a white tank, but I changed it up with a navy t-shirt.  I think the navy added something to the look.

Trend Tuesday – Stripes

Welcome to my first ever Trend Tuesday.  I am hoping to talk about different trends for the seasons on Tuesday with my own twist.  The first trend is Stripes. 

According to Elle Magazine, “the pattern of the spring season will be stripes.”  Nautical fashion walked down all of the runways this season and are a huge trend for spring.  You do not have to wear stripes from head to toe, but you can select a stripe shirt, stripe dress, nautical inspired pants, stripe shoes, or a stripe handbag.  Selecting stripes for your wardrobe is endless. 

When selecting stripes choose stripes that you are going to be comfortable wearing, if you are confident in your clothes they will look great.  You can select bright colorful stripes or go with a more neutral color.  Currently, I love navy, red, and grey stripes.  These pieces are more versatile.  While I like colorful pieces, I am still not ready to wear bright stripes.
