Versona Accessories Grand Opening

I am sorry I have been MIA.  Over Memorial Day weekend, I came down with a virus or something that left me in bed for days not wanting to do anything.  But I am back with a great new store.

Before Memorial Day weekend, I attended the Versona Accessories grand opening in Plano.  Versona Accessories offers women's jewelry, accessories, and apparel.  You have everything you can to complete your look from the clothes to jewelry to handbags and even shoes.

When I walked into the store, I was immediately drawn to the layout of the store.  The store organized via color.  This made shopping great because if you were looking for a particular piece in a certain color you could find it in one spot in the store.  Another great thing about the store was the prices.  Jewelry started as low as $7.99 and the most expensive item I saw was $49.99 (for a dress or handbag).  I spent my time taking many photos and shopping.

Here are some of my favorite things including some dressing room photos.

Open Toe Red Pumps

Pink Snakeskin Tote

Great orange accessories

Love the jade ring

Gorgeous gold bracelets and cuffs

Turquoise bead necklace

Great rings

Straw handbags

Love these necklaces

Fun neon tote

Need a neon accessory?

Great dresses

Orange and Pink Color Block Dress

Hi-Low Skirt

Black and White Stripe Dress (my favorite will be buying soon)

I have a feeling I am going to come back for a few of the dresses once I reach my goal weight.  I ended up picking up a coral necklace ($11.99), coral ring ($9.99), and color block top ($24.99) plus a Versona tote (free).

I know I will be hitting up Versona Accessories more often in the future to find fun trendy jewelry or clothes.  If you want to learn more about Versona check them out on Facebook or Twitter

Disclosure:  I received a $25 gift card to shop at Versona Accessories but my opinions are 100% my own.

My Five Favorite Things From The Diva’s Den

While attending fashion events in Jacksonville, I have found some great boutiques and online shops including The Diva’s Den.  The Diva’s Den is owned and operated by Tirerri Harris.  The online boutique reflects Tirerri’s personality with pieces that are rich in texture and color.  What I like most about The Diva’s Den is that each piece is unique.  There are many items that I love, but here are my five favorite pieces.

Trunk Show for Erin Healy

Wednesday night, I attended a Trunk Show for Erin Healy held at 3 Elements Boutique.  The boutique is located on Atlantic Boulevard and carries unique chic womens' fashions from denim to custom designed evening gowns.  3 Elements Boutique had great items for any woman.

Erin Healy Designs is a self-taught fashion designer born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida.  Erin’s designs are chic and feminine and would look great on any body type.  On display at her trunk show were many of her pieces, which embodied classic styles and colors.  Each item was something I would love to add to my wardrobe in fabulous styles and colors.

Erin has plans to show her collections at Fashion By Moonlight and Jacksonville Fashion Week.

Tip Tuesday – Best Dresses for Body Type

When I select dresses, I generally select dresses that can be worn for many occasions but what is most important is that the dress flatters my body.

Shabby Apple offers the perfect dress for your body type.  You can take their quiz to find your body type or if you know your body type you can shop by that category.

Hourglass:

An hourglass body is a curvy woman with a small waist.  You will want to select dresses that accentuate your waist.  Some of my favorite dresses from Shabby Apple for the hourglass body are:

Washington Square Park

Apple or Round:

An apple or round body has gorgeous legs and arms but are a little bigger in the middle.  When selecting a dress you will want to select dresses that show off your great assets (arms and legs) and help hide your tummy.  These dresses will do just that:

Pear or Triangle:

A pear or triangle body has a small waist but larger hips.  When selecting a dress, you will want to select a-line or fuller skirts.  This will help create the illusion that your body is an hourglass.

Pencil or Rectangle:

If you have a pencil or rectangle body type your body is straight and you have narrow shoulders and hips.  When selecting dresses for pencil or rectangle body types, you will want to create curves.  To create curves, select a dress that has details on the shoulder or the skirt.

ShiverClip Review

I was contacted by ShiverClips to review their product.  When I was first contacted, I really didn’t know what ShiverClips was so I needed to do some research.  ShiverClips is a product that allows you to wear charms and jewelry in many different ways.  You no longer need a chain to wear the jewelry, each ShiverClip is a standalone, ready to wear accessory.  Simply place the ShiverClip on your clothing, shoes, handbags and you are ready to go.

I was asked to review three of their ShiverClip items.  I received a charm, feather, and some bling.  The ShiverClips arrived in a timely fashion, but when they arrived I thought how am I going to make these work with my wardrobe little did I know that each item would be fun and easy to use.

Here is a picture of the ShiverClips prior to use.

For the Sunglasses ShiverClip, I selected a casual look - jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt.

The clip went on easy and stayed in place while moving around.

The Feather Dangle ShiverClip was more of a challenge for styling.  I wasn’t sure how I wanted to style it so I wore it two ways.  The first look, I hooked the ShiverClip to my hair and went with the feather extension look.

The other look, I placed the ShiverClip to the top of my maxi dress.  I think either of these looks gives the bohemian vibe.

The bling ShiverClip was the easiest to style.  I placed the ShiverClip on a little black dress that was v-neck.  This ShiverClip helped make my LBD even dressier.

Overall, I was impressed with the quality of the ShiverClips.  The items stayed in place while moving around and helps create new looks out of charms.

*Disclosure:  ShiverClips asked me to review their product and I received the three ShiverClips as part of my review.  However, my opinions are 100% my own.
