Grand Princess Cruise – St. Thomas

After St. Maarten, we headed to the US Virgin Islands and the island of St. Thomas.  Since part of our excursion in St. Thomas included beach time, I dressed in layers.

The first stop on our excursion was Magen’s Bay.  The bay was absolutely gorgeous and the water was wonderful.  While swimming in the bay, I experienced something I have never experienced before.  We were swimming and birds started dive bombing into the water to get fish.  To start with the birds were small, but then a huge pelican decided to dive and missed my aunt by about five feet.  I wish I had a photo because it was CRAZY!

After Magen’s Bay, we did a photo stop and then toured Black Beard’s Castle.  The castle was more of a museum where we could taste rum and view the amber museum. 

When we were finished with the tour, we did a little more shopping then headed back to the boat to get ready for dinner.
