It is the time for another Bloggers Do It Better challenge from Pretty Shiny Sparkly. Challenge number five is the Maxi! I love a good maxi dress and have added more to my closet this summer, but I don't own a Maxi skirt which was the one requirement of the challenge. A maxi skirt can have ruffles or pleats, tiers or slits. I decided I needed a maxi skirt in my life so I headed to Forever 21 for a cheap maxi skirt to fit the challenge and to fit into my wardrobe. Unfortunately, I hated every maxi skirt I tried on. The skirts made my hips look wide and I just wasn't feeling them. Then I stumbled upon the Vibrant Maxi Dress. I loved the print and the dress. I knew I had to have it but wanted to make it work for the Bloggers Do It Better challenge. So What did I do? I made the dress into a skirt and paired it with a black tank for the summer. I think I actually like the dress better as a skirt!

I love that print - so pretty! Good job!!
Thanks Kimberly! I was happy that I "made it work" b/c I really wanted to be part of the challenge.
We totally did the same thing!! I have no maxi skirts in my closet, just dresses and I didn't want to spend the money on one, so I made one of my dresses into a "skirt".
I love the pattern on your dress, I can see why you liked it so much.
I love how so many of us took a maxi dresses and turned it into a skirt. This challenge certainly helped us realize the things we already own can be tweaked to create something new. yay! - Katy
The print on that skirt is gorgeous!

Katy - I know. It is nice to see that a dress can be changed to a skirt!
Meagan - I think I might not have done the challenge if I hadn't saw this print!
Love the print on you! And I'm with you on the maxi-dress-turned-skirt. It's such a versatile option!
