Blogger Brilliance

Saturday was the Blogger Brilliance Conference.  I was so excited for the conference because Kristina from Pretty Shiny Sparkly and Vahni from Grit and Glamour were on the panel.

The first panel discussed Creative Brilliance.  What I took from this panel was that your blog needed to be authentic and honest.  If you are authentic and honest your readers will appreciate this more and this will lead to more success.

The second panel focused on Business and Technical Brilliance.  The one thing I really took away from this panel was that engagement with readers is the most important aspect of making your blog a business.  Remember, that numbers do not matter, engagement matters.  The panel also discussed working with brands.  The consensus on the panel was that only work with brands that fit your blog.

After the panelist, the conference headed to International Plaza for a fashion show hosted by Tim Gunn (I will be sharing the fashion show details tomorrow).  After the fashion show, Amber from Real Girl Glam and I went to the blogger lounge at Neiman Marcus.  There we took photos and mingled with other bloggers.

For the conference, I wore the outfit with the most votes.  The cobalt blue sweater, polka dot skirt, and the black booties (thanks for voting!)
